Dr. McGhee served in the U.S. Army with distinction, rising to the rank of Major and deploying in multiple combat operations, including Kosovo and Iraq. He has held numerous leadership positions such as Division Psychiatrist for the 101st Airborne Division, Chief of the Behavioral Health Department at Fort Campbell , and Director of Neuropsychological Services at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital. In civilian practice, Dr. McGhee is the founder and CEO of Psychiatric Consultants of Tennessee, and serves as Medical Director for multiple inpatient psychiatric units across Kentucky and Tennessee. His clinical expertise includes adult psychiatry, addiction treatment, sleep medicine, traumatic brain injury, and PTSD, with a strong emphasis on Suboxone maintenance programs. He also serves as a Clinical Professor for several academic institutions.
Dr. McGhee is happily married to Alisha with 3 children and a granddaughter. His services to others include being an ordained minister, active in mission work and pastoral teaching, and has been invited to speak internationally in countries such as Sudan, India, and Nepal. His unique integration of psychiatric care, medical leadership, academic instruction, and spiritual guidance reflects his holistic commitment to healing the body, mind, and soul.
