Nita Black

As the CEO/owner of NitaBlack.com since 2018, she has owned/exited several businesses since 2000 and previously was a Vice President /Commercial Lender and Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) at a national bank for over 30 years.

In May of 2021, Nita and two others formed OZB Consulting, Inc. dba The Drone Company.  The Drone Company 

provides consulting services that impact health and wealth in under-served communities.  Nita has served in 

several community leadership roles, including Past Chair of the City of Memphis Minority Business Development

Oversight Commission (MBDOC) and Past President of the National Association of Women Business Owners-

Memphis Chapter (NAWBO).  She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Economic Development Growth Engine 

(EDGE) Finance Commitee, serving small businesses in the Memphis and Shelby County, TN area.  Nita has a 

BBA in Accounting from the University of Memphis, living in Memphis, TN. with three beautiful daughters – 

Jenny, Chellye, and Angie – and seven grandchildren.
