01 / WHO WE ARE

A life of service.
A mission that continues.

BHW Estate is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Memphis, Tennessee, with a simple belief: veterans deserve safety, stability, and a place to belong.

After 25 years with the Memphis Police Department, retired Sergeant Debra Hogue Brantley continues her commitment to the community through veteran housing. Together with Paul Brantley and a dedicated board, she is working to turn that commitment into lasting homes and meaningful support.

Our approach begins with housing and connects veterans to resources that support independence. We are building from the work underway today toward a broader community for tomorrow.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Get to know
the mission.

Is the gated community already open?

No. The Hawkins Mill gated community is a proposed development. BHW Estate’s existing shared housing work in South Memphis is separate from that future project.

How can a veteran or case manager ask about housing?

Call 901-288-0787 or email bhwestate@yahoo.com to discuss current availability and the referral process. An inquiry does not guarantee placement. Please do not email Social Security numbers, medical records, or other sensitive documents.

How can my organization partner with BHW Estate?

Tell us about your organization and whether you can help with development, financial support, professional services, referrals, or volunteer opportunities. We will discuss a role that fits the mission and current needs.

What can donations support?

Contributions help advance veteran housing, essential needs, community programs, and future development. Contact BHW Estate to discuss a designated gift or a larger project commitment.
